Water Neutrality Statements

“For every new development, water demand should first be minimised then any remaining water demand offset, so that the total demand on the public water supply in a defined region is the same after development as it was before.”

H2Ogeo, based in Sussex, has provided Water Neutrality Statements for Clients working closely with the LPAs. To find out more please contact us or give us a call.

Currently a consideration for parts of Chichester, Crawley, Horsham and Waverley Local Planning Authorities, Water Neutrality could be here to stay, or at least a version of it.

Planning applications that are not yet determined will need to submit a Water Neutrality Statement setting out a strategy for achieving water neutrality within the development. In the event that water neutrality cannot be achieved then the development will not meet the requirements of section 63 of the Habitats Regulations, and the application will not be determined positively.

H2Ogeo has worked on WNS for Clients with single dwellings to office blocks and Changes of Use throughout the Sussex North Water Supply Zone.
